SP3 BASELINE

Every project has a foundation, the SP3 Baseline is the foundation for a Strategic Compensation Plan, mergers & acquisitions, a payment dispute, or funding for another project.  The Comprehensive Assessment is a thorough review of all policies, practices, and pay down to the transactional level to provide the foundation or baseline for operations strategies moving forward.  Organizations are inundated with data on a daily basis, but without understanding exactly where policies, practices, and pay leading to 50% of the operations budget stands and what the options are moving forward, there is no foundation.   We specialize in workforce compensation, and use a proprietary approach to provide organizations with everything they need to build a foundation, down to the transaction.  Don't let a simple report of Overtime and On-Call be the basis for the organizations strategic compensation plan.

Millions in Savings

Organizations are provided opportunities of annual savings in avoidable labor costs in the millions of dollars.  1% - 2% of total Payroll is common.

Regulatory

Policies and Practices are reviewed for alignment with Federal, State, and Local Regulations.  All findings are provided to and reviewed with the Organizations Labor Attorney, providing all exact scenarios.

National Alignment

All policies and practices are reviewed against our national database and we provide organizations with details where they may not align with national standards and may be outdated.

Equity of Pay Across Organization

Equity is key word in our comprehensive assessments.  Are two nurses in the same department, with the same tenure and certifications in two different facilities receiving equitable pay?  How might the premiums affect the  outcome?  We pull all the information together to provide organizations with the key to equity.

Health System Standardization

When organizations are growing; organically and inorganically, pay rarely lines up as expected.  We can help by showing variances, what they mean, how much they cost, and provide a recommended go-forward path.

Reporting Optimization

Reports typically return surface data.  We work with organizations to dig deeper.  When opportunities are provided via our SP3 Baseline and organization is looking to move forward, we work with reporting teams to ensure the right data is pulled to get on and stay on track.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Data Collection

Our team works with a Time and Payroll data analyst to obtain 12 months of data in which analysis will be performed on.  Simultaneously, we request all documented (and undocumented) policies and practice variations be provided.  This includes any CBAs.  This process typically takes about two weeks.

Analysis

This is where our team digs beyond reports, time cards, and pay checks into the millions of transactions to find patterns, identify trends, notice abnormalities, and calculate cost analyses.

Update

As we work through our analysis, we take time to come onsite and work with the organization to provide a sneak peek.  We take this time to show what we have found so far, ask any outstanding questions, and are provided with any additional information about why we some things may not be as they appear.

Report Out

Upon analysis completion, cost analyses calculations, and recommendations developed we come onsite and work with the team to explain each of our findings in depth.  This is an opportunity to clear up any variance, recent changes, and policy adjustments.  Following the session, we adjust our recommendations and provide an onsite Executive Report Out.
